Joy Islam

Joy is a proud native of Bangladesh and has been settled in the United States for an impressive span of 25 years. As the son of one of the most noted cinematographers in all of South-East Asia, Joy has been surrounded by the rich worlds of music and film from a very young age. He originally embarked on his musical journey from a rock-n-roll background and went on to become a key member of a highly regarded heavy metal group in Bangladesh, known as “In Dhaka.” His expertise as a superb sound engineer is evident, as he has skillfully mixed and mastered all of Melodic Intersect’s albums. Currently, he continues to mix and master a diverse array of projects throughout the United States. Joy’s abilities on the guitar are truly unsurpassed, allowing him to seamlessly blend his extensive knowledge of pop, rock, heavy metal, and Indian classical music, thereby infusing a fresh and exciting dimension into Melodic Intersect’s roster. Additionally, Joy brings a mellowed, aesthetic quality to the collective and possesses the remarkable ability to step forward as a soloist whenever the occasion calls for it.
